Examples of popular low-carb diets include Atkins, Keto, Paleo, and South Beach. However, while low-carb diets can be effective at helping you lose weight quickly, they can also cause fatigue, constipation, bad breath, and other side effects if not done correctly.

Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent fasting is a type of eating pattern that involves cycling between periods of eating and fasting throughout the day or week. This diet requires dedication. It limits when you can eat food while allowing you to eat whatever you want during your “feed” window or feeding period.

Intermittent fasting has been shown to help with weight loss. But it can also lead to dehydration and nutrient deficiencies if not done correctly. Additionally, some people may find this diet difficult to maintain in the long term due to its restrictive nature.

Ketogenic Diet

The ketogenic diet is another popular hardcore weight loss program that emphasizes high fat intake combined with low carbohydrate consumption (less than 10%). This diet forces your body into a metabolic state called ketosis, where your body uses fat as its primary source of fuel instead of glucose from carbohydrates.

While this diet is effective for rapid weight loss results, it can also lead to side effects like headaches and constipation if not done correctly. Additionally, this type of diet may not be suitable for everyone since it requires careful monitoring and calculations around macronutrient ratios which may be too complicated for some people to manage on their own.
