If you are into bodybuilding, chances are you have seen the shredded legs of Iranian professional bodybuilder Hadi Choopan. The man is a walking example of leg development. You can get those same results with this powerful routine inspired by his training style.

Leg Routine that Is Hamstring Focus

This routine focuses on the hamstrings, which are often neglected in many leg workouts. Working the hamstrings helps to make a strong foundation for your quads, so be sure to make them a priority. Start by performing four sets of 12-15 reps of Romanian deadlifts. Keep your back straight, and use your glutes and hamstrings to lift the weight. This will help activate your hamstrings for the rest of the workout.

Next are four sets of 8-10 reps of seated or standing hamstring curls. Again, you can choose either machine or free weights. Whatever is convenient for you. But keep your movements controlled and slow, as this will help target the muscles more effectively. At the end of each set, hold for 3-5 seconds at peak contraction to feel the burn!

Leg Routine that Is Quad Focus

Now it’s time to move on to some quad-focused exercises such as leg presses and squats. Leg presses are great for hitting all four heads of your quadriceps muscle group. You should do them with heavy weight for five sets between 8-12 reps per set. Also, it would be best to do squats with heavier weights than usual to maximize gains from this exercise. We recommend five sets between 8-12 reps per set.

Make sure you go deep enough when squatting so your thighs are parallel with the ground for maximum benefit!


Finally, finish with four sets of 10-12 reps of lunges or split squats. This will improve your overall lower body development strength and balance in both legs. Remember to keep your chest up during these exercises and keep a controlled pace throughout each rep!
