Jason Huh is one of the most mysterious bodybuilders in the world. He’s won multiple competitions and has become a popular figure in the fitness community. Huh has also been featured in countless magazines, commercials, and advertisements.

Jayson was on YouTube and was the heartthrob of the bodybuilding world, and then he gave it all up. What happened? If you want to learn more about Jason’s story, read on!

Jason Huh’s Early Career

Jason started his career at a young age. At just 17 years old, he entered a fitness competition. From there, he continued to compete in various other competitions and quickly rose to fame within the bodybuilding world.

Jason Huh was 5 feet and 8 inches, his offseason weight was 300 pounds, and his completion weight was 260 pounds. Jason won numerous awards throughout his career. His is a list of his achievements:

  • 2004 NPC Teen Nations Light-Heavy Weight, 1st & Overall
  • 2006 NPC Southern States Heavy Weight, 1st & Overall
  • 2008 NPC Nationals Heavy Weight, 3rd
  • 2008 IFBB North American Championships Heavy Weight, 4th
  • 2009 NPC USA Championships Super-Heavy Weight, 5th
  • 2010 NPC USA Championships Super-Heavy Weight, 1st & Overall

Training Regimen

Jason had an intense training regimen of weightlifting with a do-or-die philosophy. He focused on compound exercises such as squats, bench presses, deadlifts, and shoulder presses, targeting multiple muscle groups for maximum results.

Jason built massive muscles and an impressive physique with his workout. Jason focused on technique and volume to develop his remarkable body while doing the classic lifts. His training sessions were time-consuming and required 100% of his focus and dedication.

Jason admitted that bodybuilding was hard on the body. Once, he injured his wrist, completing upright rows, which sidelined him for a year. Jason did admit to using steroids and insulin.

Jason Huh said while he was on performance-enhancement drugs, he could look in the mirror and see himself growing. Jason spent 3 to 4 hours working out when he was on steroids.

Diet Plan

To fuel his workouts and maintain an impressive physique, Jason follows a strict diet plan consisting of lean proteins such as boiled chicken breast and complex carbohydrates like rice and apples for energy.

Additionally, he consumes lots of healthy fats like avocados and eggs, essential for promoting muscle growth while delivering necessary vitamins and minerals for recovery after an intense workout session. Jason is lactose intolerant, so milk was not an option.

Lastly, Jason makes sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated, which helps promote optimal performance during workouts and aid in digestion after meals.

Jason ate a bodybuilders diet which included 40 – 45 grams of carbs per meal, 35 grams of protein, 5 grams of protein, and 5 to 6 meals daily.

His favorite condiments were sea salt, mustard, and hot sauce. Chris Bumstead also favored sodium, mustard, and hot sauce. But unlike Chris, Jason refused to eat sriracha but Lousianna hot sauce. Jason Huh did not eat for pleasure but for purpose. He also believed in keeping it simple, as you can see.

What Happen to Jason Huh?

In videos after walking away from bodybuilding, Jason confided on YouTube that he could not sacrifice his family for his career. After winning the USA championship, he married and had his first child shortly after.

In addition, Jason experienced mercury poison from eating the wrong type of fish in high amounts, which hastened his decision to walk away from bodybuilding.

He stated bodybuilding was a dangerous sport that demanded 100% of his time. Jason had to choose between his health, family, and bodybuilding. So he made the intelligent choice and chose his health and family over professional bodybuilding.

Jason Huh still lifts and has done a few videos on diets and working out, but he no longer trains professionally. Instead, he spends time with family and friends while living everyday life. Jason Huh diet and workouts now focus on health and fitness.

Jason Huh’s bodybuilding journey though strange, is a happy ending. There is nothing wrong with taking care of your body and choosing your family over a career. His hard work ethic and dedication helped him reach incredible heights in bodybuilding.

And without warning, Jason Huh walked away from bodybuilding. Now he runs his own business and spends time with his family, the essential thing in his life.
