Hunter Labrada – Learn from a Student of Bodybuilding

Hunter Labrada is the son of IFBB Hall of Famer Lee Labrada and an aspiring bodybuilder. He presently lives in Houston, Texas, where he works in the marketing department at Labrada Nutrition.

He received his education at Texas A&M University, where he majored in economics. Hunter aspired to be an American football superstar as a child. His goals, unfortunately, ended when he had a terrible injury that prevented him from participating in the sport.

Instead, Hunter started lifting weights at the gym to speed up his recovery. He believed he would heal from his injuries more quickly by strengthening his muscles.

Hunter did not know he would fall in love with the bodybuilding lifestyle during this process.

Instead, he left football behind and followed his dad’s legacy, becoming a well-known bodybuilding champion. Labrada showed us how to take lemons and make lemonade. He could have felt sorry for himself and given up on his dreams, but he didn’t.

Career

Labrada, a Texas native, went professional after winning the 2018 NPC Nationals. He won his first pro tournament in the 2020 Tampa Pro. Before then, Labrada had a five-tournament winning streak as an amateur.

After his 2020 victory, Labrada went on a roll. Hunter placed 8th at Mr. Olympia’s 2020 competition. His success motivated him to work harder and accomplish more. He learned from his success and failures as he reflected on 2020 and used his lessons to go to the next level in 2021.

In 2021, Hunter finished 4th at the Mr. Olympia contest behind Big Ramy, Brandon Curry, and Hadi Choopan.

Protein Diet

Diet

Hunter never believed in a bulking diet comprising pizza and ice cream. While gaining bulk on this diet is simple, he claims it will primarily be fat, not muscle. So why put on excess body fat when you can attain the same aim while looking and feeling far better? Hunter’s diet is entirely made up of whole foods.

Hunter Labrada also consumes complex carbohydrates but avoids processed carbs like sugar and flour. Instead, Hunter consumes foods with omega-3 fatty acids for fats. He gets them through salmon and elevated krill oil supplements, among other sources.

Like most professional bodybuilders, he tracks and eats a lot of protein. However, to build a body like Hunter, you must take your diet, including shopping, cooking, and eating, just as seriously as your workout.

Gym Life Workout Compound Exercise

Workout

Hunter used to work out every day when he first began bodybuilding. “The further, the stronger” was his motto. He’d perform up to 25 sets per muscle group with each exercise.

While this initially worked well for him, resulting in “great gains,” his progress slowed. Hunter grew irritated when he realized he wasn’t growing as much as he used to. He was eating and supplementing properly, and he was receiving adequate rest. However, he didn’t notice that he was creating too much muscular injury with so much exercise.

As Hunter put it, “in the gym, you inflict microscopic cuts and trauma, breaking down your precious muscles you’ve spent so much time, and usually, money, to build.” I wasn’t doing myself any favors if the cuts and trauma I experienced were excessive or if I did not give these cuts and trauma adequate time to heal.

Like Hunter, while hard work is necessary, you must know what you do. Also, building muscle is a complex process that includes diet, rest, supplements, and working out.

It’s important to remember that direction, not the intention, determines your destination. By becoming a student of bodybuilding, you can take full advantage of your workouts without injuring or setting yourself back.

Fitness Trainer Motivation

Motivation

Hunter Labrada perfectly represents what it takes to succeed in bodybuilding. It may look luxurious, but there are many hours of hard work and planning in the gym and kitchen.

You may achieve a tremendous amount by adopting a mentality comparable to hunters, whether in bodybuilding or anything else. The key is to stay motivated, work hard, and be innovative. Then, like a talented student, learn from your mistakes and use digital magazines like TF Clark Fitness Magazine to stay informed of the latest information.

The Last Word on Hunter Labrada

Professional workouts for individuals looking to increase their strength and size may be a tremendous help. Hunter Labrada’s advice is what you need to improve your fitness and get the desired results from every session. What has been your experience with your workout and diet plan? If you or someone you know is considering bodybuilding, share this article on Facebook or Twitter so that others can learn more about building muscle.
