Health Drinks - 5 Best for Workouts

What are the top 5 health drinks before, during, and after workouts? The human body is over two-thirds fluid. So, like you are what you eat, you are also what you drink. Some drinks give you power, while others rob you of energy.

Drinking the right drink before, during, and after workouts promotes or destroys your workout. Fluids can ruin your workout because you measure your workout by how much you breathe and sweat.

Both breathing and sweating cause the loss of fluids and electrolytes that play a vital role in your workout.

Here are the top 5 health drinks to drink before, during, and after workouts:

Water –

Okay, let’s get this over with. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that water is number one out of the top 5 fluids to drink before, during, or after a workout. Water is God’s favorite product, and we can find it in everything. It covers two-thirds of the planet. So, what are the health benefits of drinking water?

Water performs the following task in the body:

  • Hydrates and rehydrate the body
  • Lubricates the joints,
  • Improves skins health,
  • Maintains blood pressure,
  • It helps create saliva and mucus,
  • It keeps your airways open so you can breathe,
  • Washes the kidneys, flushes out body waste, prevents constipation,
  • Improves physical performance, regulates body temperature, increases the body’s energy level
  • Improves brain function,
  • Transports nutrients, causes weight loss and controls your appetite.
  • Cold water increases the metabolism by 24%

It has everything but flavor, which is why you need other drinks. You know that water is perfect for you, but you will tire of it if you drink it enough.

Gatorade –

Gatorade is one of the top 5 health drinks before, during, or after a workout because of countless scientific studies boasting Gatorade’s benefits. Athletes use Gatorade to replace electrolytes. Scientific studies show that Gatorade does a better job of replacing electrolytes after a hard workout than water.

Water is not the only thing you lose when you sweat. The electrolytes are called electrolytes because they provide electricity (energy) to your cells.

The five electrolytes are sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, chloride, and phosphate. Your body needs electrolytes in high doses to function. Sodium, potassium, and magnesium are the most popular electrolytes, and rightly so, as they regulate your muscles and heart. Finally, it tastes good.

Coffee –

Coffee is one of the top 5 health drinks before, during, or after a workout because of its many benefits. It contains essential nutrients such as caffeine, antioxidants, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, manganese, potassium, magnesium, and niacin. Caffeine is a drug that gives you energy and makes you alert.

When you work out, the two things you need the most are energy and alertness. It would be best to have the strength to move the weight and the sharpness to use the correct form with each lift.

Coffee also lowers the risk for type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s, dementia, and Parkinson’s. In addition, it fights cancer, protects the liver, reduces the risk of depression, and improves your mood. Finally, it tastes great.

Cranberry Juice –

Cranberry Juice is one of the top 5 health drinks before, during, or after a workout because it filters your organs, provides energy, and promotes health. It treats and prevents urinary infections and kidney stones, improves heart and skin health, and supports the digestive system.

Cranberry Juice also fights tumors, improves bone and oral health, boosts immunity, and eliminates peptic ulcers. In addition, cranberry juice is rich in antioxidants and contains vitamin C, quercetin, Vitamin D, copper, vitamin E, vitamin B6, and vitamin K1. Finally, it tastes favorable.

Ginseng Tea –

Ginseng Tea is one of the top 5 health drinks before, during, or after a workout because of its weight loss, energy, and properties.

In addition, it increases brain function, decreases erectile dysfunction, is anti-inflammatory, boosts the immune system, fights cancer, prevents fatigue, improves memory, increases energy, and lowers blood sugar.

Ginseng Tea also improves concentration and learning, boosts endurance, enhances mood, and can treat cancer and heart disease.

In addition, it provides antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, saponins, phenolic compounds, polyacetylene, and bioactive compounds. Finally, it’s an excellent tasting drink.

The Last Word on the 5 Best Health Drinks

In Conclusion, the top 5 health drinks to drink before, during, and after a workout each provide unique benefits to your health.

However, the top 5 health drinks share the same benefits, preventions, and health contributions. What you drink is no longer an afterthought. Whatever you drink should contribute to your health, just like your food. You could say these drinks are the super drinks of drinks.

When you focus on what you drink and eat, you will always have a decisive advantage over those who only focus on their food.

Some added benefits of drinks are that they are cheap, quick to prepare and drink, easy to digest, and taste great. Many beverages are super drinks but did not make a list, like protein shakes, green smoothies, and green tea.
